Our client was facing two major challenges:

Our client’s system lacked visibility of critical metrics and trends, such as approved and unexplained absences or shift management.
This led to valuable budget being wasted, through too many shifts being covered by agency staff while their in-house resources weren’t managed efficiently.
Problem #2
Our client was concerned about the security of sensitive personnel data.
Site managers all used the same online system, potentially giving them access to information about sites and staff they were not responsible for, which posed a threat of a potential security breach.
Solution
We consolidated all relevant data in one accessible platform and used row level security to ensure group managers can now oversee (but only see) their assigned employees’ activities:
- absence requests
- shift details
- site-specific information
The platform now enables timely absence approvals, so they can rotate their own resources efficiently, minimising the expenses of agency staff covering shifts.
By leveraging visual analytics, our client gained a holistic view of their operations, enabling them to identify trends early, manage resources efficiently, and turn those insights into actions that are generating impact every day.
